"I actually can't believe I've stuck with it for a year, when I think about all the nights I'd sit on my couch and listen to all the horrible sounds coming out of my fiddle and scream in frustration. And I still do that sometimes. But you know what, it's starting to sound a little better. Three months will be enough for you to know if you love it enough to stick with it---if you're still obsessed with it after that time (and the first few months are the worst), then you'll be fine."
